Iain has been working with Victor Shee of Shee & Hawe to educate and mentor greater numbers of people as the debt issue continues to escalate in the current economic climate. Over the coming months, Debtucation will roll out a series of Information evenings (seminars) and workshops designed to give people the answers they need to dealing with their own debt issues:
Information evenings
In these evenings, through a combination of questions and answers and shared knowledge, we will provide a forum where people can ask questions that they feel are pertinent to them as they look for guidance and knowledge in dealing with the banks. Now With the amount of discussions that are taking place in the media, people are as uncertain as ever about:
1. What is actually going on in discussions with banks
2. How should I prepare to discuss my own situation
3. How should I approach the bank regarding my own position.
Through sharing our ongoing experiences of dealing with each of the banks, we will provide the insights and examples that people need when approaching this subject.
Debtucation workshops
For those people who want to take the next step and become fully educated and prepared to deal with the banks for themselves, we will provide full one day workshops where we will share the 5 key steps that people need to undertake before making representations to the banks.
Step 1: Defining your win
Step 2: Understanding your true financial position
Step 3: Understanding your legal position and any alternatives
Step 4: Dealing with the banks
Step 5: Sharing the journey
The workshop will provide you with all of the documents, knowledge and approaches that are needed when you undertake to deal with your bank. As the debt situation continually evolves in Ireland, it is important that people are fully prepared to deal with these events as they unfold. While many believe that debt forgiveness will be the answer to their own concerns, banks will continue to look to recoup their loans from people. It is in these discussions that people will need to be fully prepared in seeking their own resolution.
One – to – one mentoring
For some people, they may feel that discussing their concerns on a one-to-one basis is easier for them than in an open forum. In these cases, Debtucation will look to facilitate these meetings with people. It should be noted, that for many, the shared workshop environment has proven to be very beneficial as they have realised that others within the workshop have very similar issues to their own.
